My friend bought honda civic which was cat C and he faced too many issues after buying it.


First of all when he knew it that he cant get insurance then he realize he is in trouble.
Also When he received log book then there was written on logbook that its Cat C. I found from friends that it will only be taken off from log book when the vehicle will be inspected by dvla.
So if your vehicle is Cat A, Cat B or Cat C it will be taken off the log book and can be back on the road if it is inspected by dvla.

If your vehicle is Cat D then it will not be written on log book as it comes under light damage etc. Also you dont need to dvla.

Also most of insurance companies dont do insurance for CatA, CatB, Cat C and CatD. Some insurance companies does but they will charge more.


So my friend at last sold the car with £50 loss.
